Unless they were heavily modified, you should have smoked them. They range anywhere from 225-305 HP stock and run in the high sixes.

Had a dice on the highway yesterday with what looked like a brand new Acura TLS 'S Type'), the one with 2 x twin exhausts (look like the exhausts on the new lexus IS-F) difficult to gage the performance he was behind me weeving thru traffic, I was in the outside lane and gunned it, I was way ahead when I turned off, he followed, I actually slowed down to let him by, he was driving like he just stole it, I did not want to go any more, so I let him pass and noticed the S Type badge.

Does anyone know anything about these, I did not know they did a perfomance version?

It has a 3.5l Vtech V6 engine that produces 286hp and 256 lbs.-ft. of torque. The regular TL has a 3.2 and prduces like 25 less hp and torque.

Well wasn't the TL type S gone for like 4 years when this new generation TL came out in 04? I believe 08 is the first year that they brought it back.
