Gto

Of course you never know if the driver has his stuff together, BUT ..... I played with a GTO the other day. We never got to go from a dead stop, but on a roll on start he didn't show me ANYTHING! Pretty sure his was an automatic also, saw no evidence of a manual type of shift, Or, again, he maybe didn't know how to power shift. Point is, with our boots into the TB, he didn't get away!

You said you played with a GTO, what do you mean by he didn't get away?
Did you walk away from him, or was it a even race

I went up against against a G35 sedan 6-speed. I was very surprised, that I simply could NOT take him... was dead even. Granted, we didn't get up past 60MPH cause we ran out of space.

I was really surprised cause I thought the 300C would easily take him but it was dead even. I think given a longer stretch I would have walked away from him, but the shuffle to 60 mph was dead even.

300CULATER, I'm curious, where did you take the G35/350Z? I mean did you take them from a dead stop? If so at what point did you begin to overtake them?

Also, did you have any mods?

Based on this experience, I am convinced that the 5.3 sec 0-60 reported by on of the car mags on the 300C was a tweaked model. My 300C is probably in the high 5's, low 6's on the 0 - 60.

The actual event happened after work one day with one of my office mates that owns a brand new G35 sport coupe. It is an automatic. We started from a dead stop and was 2 car length ahead by 70...Also after that we had driven around (some very deserted private roads) and were both going around 30 MPH or so...then a punched it and again walked away with out a struggle. I find the that HEMI really shines in midrange power and torque. The only positive mods I have are the K&N bentley air filter. Negative mods due to weight would be the 20" wheels.

05 300C - we did a couple of 10 -50 ish runs on city streets. Neither one got ahead so I guess at those speeds it was even. I don't THINK he was playing me.

C,

10-50 ish runs I can see how it would be too close to call with a GTO, Mustand, Firebird... any car running high 13's low 14's in the 1/4 mile. I know you didn't by your C just to "blow people" away, being able to run and beat a lot of the V8 sports cars in a 4,000lb + luxury car is why I have mine on order
