Watch out for the turbo's.
Same 350Z experience. I was already at 70mph or so when he wanted a go. It looked tuned w/plenty of mods, but I was able to pull on him. Not near as much as I would have expected tho. We ended it at 120+ with me by a couple of lengths.

Time to get my future mods done.

I'm stoked by this, i ran a last model M3 Convertible to 150kmh and he couldn't catch up and just stayed at my read door through out the race. He wouldn't come up next to me after that and stayed behind me for like a KM until he turned off. i was surprised to no end but i guess i can't complain considering mine is just a plain old hemi with no mods at all

Still a Hemi

Spectre,

a "plain old hemi" is still a HEMI.

Made the M3 think twice

What lightly moded 300C runs high 4's from 0 to 60 ? You would need at least a good blower to do that ! Maybe you ment to say a 300C SRT-8 ?

I had a perfect highway race with a nice new shiny Pontiac G8 on Friday.

This guy thought he was so cool too.

I let him get the jump when he was on my right rear fender, I immediately jumped on it and held him door to door for a couple seconds, but once I reached the power band in 3rd it was an easy walk.

I only did have him by about 1.5 cars up to 120ish-130ish.

He wouldn't look over as I passed him again.

I loved ruining his day. You could just tell by the way he was driving he thought he was the s**t.

With that said, when the GXP comes out, it will take mods to beat them. The G8 at only 361HP did impress me. I thought I'd murder him but it was still somewhat close.

Can't wait to run a G8, I see them fairly often but haven't had the opportunity to run with any. This is my first post on an actual thread, so let me say its nice to actually interact with everyone here instead of just lurking and reading.

As for things I've blown away, there are def too many to list (countless evos and stis, 350zs, G35s, etc), so I'll just mention some recent kills and deaths to start the mill turning. It's been about 2 weeks since I got my car to its current point power wise, and so far I am 1-1 and 1 no contest. Victory over my brother's C-5 vette, intake, borla catback, tbs, jet stage 2, and short shift kit. From a 20 roll I start walking him almost immediately and put about 2 lengths on him up to 120ish. Prior to the CMR tune and 180 t-stat, we would be pretty much dead even from any kind of slow roll, but from 40 and up he would walk me. Defeat came at the hands of my buddy's Evo, I hadn't seen it/him since last summer when it was pretty close to stock and I could put it away. Now he puts down 388 whp, altho from 30 I def pulled about 1 length immediately and he didn't pass me until about 80-100. I would have liked to get another run in against him, but police rained on our parade. My one no contest is actually what I am proudest of. On the NIGHT I got my car off the dyno in Brooklyn, I ran into a brand new M3 with 7k miles on it. Owner was really nice guy and agreed to run with me (I had followed him into a gas station to check out the car). We had no "official" side by side runs, always started with him in front rolling or from dead stop. I was optimistic, but the first time he got on it was from a stop and that thing was OUT. Very little wheelspin, just dug in and went. BUT, rolling was a different story. About 4 or 5 times between 30-50 he would get on it with me behind him, I left it in drive once and he walked me to about 110. If I autostick it into 2nd (or 1st) and wait for him to go DEAD HEAT until about 80, and then I start to pull . I actually got up alongside him for one uphill stretch where it opens up to 2 lanes for about a half mile. I was behind him when he hit it and was in gear waiting. I went from on his @ss behind him to neck and neck and pulling when he lost his nerve and backed off (road goes back to one lane at top of hill). Not really a kill, but not really gettin killed either. I'm sure I will see him again and I will make sure we get a side by side run in. At any rate, proud does not BEGIN to express how I felt about my car at that moment. I've been on cloud 9 ever since. :-)
