I still think it would be important to determine exactly what happened. I read that he drove through a puddle, and I have heard he drove it in a lake. Which is true? Also, aren't these filters being used by aftermarket companies usually water resistant? Wouldn't it have just died if it has sucked up that much water? And being around superchargers and performance engines for a while, I have heard the term "water" in the motor before. Usually means that the headgaskets let go and sucked coolant into the combustion chamber. Is that what happened here? Sounds to be like a headgasket let go from detonation. This usually casues "water" to get into oil causing bearing failure. This would explain the connection rods getting bent, etc.
