Wow, I am so glad I decided not to go with the S/C. I almost purchased it until I saw that the turbo was coming soon and opted to wait. PHEW!!! That's why I love this forum so much......Sorry to hear of your misfortunes. But atleast Crysler is working with you a little. I would think they would turn their heads because you modded it. You must have some gnarly negotiating skills. LOL Hmmm, all this makes me question the turbo too.

I'm sure some how they will twist it and prevert it so sound like it is your fault. Then should you complain about it, they will lable you as a "hater".
They claim to have sucessfully supercharged over 600 (or was it 1000) with no problems and any time there is a problem it is operator error.
I had GSM custom build me a "bullet proof" motor after my stock motor was torched by their blower kit, which they installed and tuned BTW.
The new "bullet proof" motor lasted 6 freaking months to the tune of over $4500. I called Scott on his personal cell phone and he says oh its just something stupid you must have sucked something up in through the supercharger and it lodged in the motor.
I for one am sick of thier lies, distortions and blaming customers. They have a faulty product, they know it yet they continue to deny there are issues and make more money off us chumps who believe the lies and propaganda.
Check this link out; this REPUTABLE company has taken a different approach and had decided not to release a supercharger kit until they know it won't blow up our engines! (what a concept....). These guys have been around a LONG time and I was pretty skeptical how GSM claimed to be able to make the Hemi live with a supercharger when nobody else could...
As a suggestion get a hold of Power Ported Performance and get a 426 stroker kit with P&P heads and a custom ground cam and say Piss off to the GSM Kit.
All motor no extra doodads and a nice lump dee lump to let you know you have a beast under the hood
That sucks man!!! Glad you have the extra money to get a new engine!! Do what rob said and put in a 426!!

For guys like me who have been modding engines for a long time, the idea of just bolting a supercharger onto a stock engine (even a tough stock engine like the HEMI or the purpose built SRT 6.1) is a no-no, especially for street use.
In my mind, a blower is the last mod in a long list of linear progressions that include porting, polishing, blueprinting, balancing - and - on today's cars - some very careful, clever ECM programming.
Since even Superchips haven't released a tuning program for the 6.1, leads me to believe that supercharging this engine, at this point in its evolution is just too soon.
One would think that GSM would know all this, before marketing a blower.
Just my 2 cents.

But the problem is these days they are sold and marketed by a bunch of different vendors for a wide range of cars and they can be very reliable when the kits are manufactured, engineered, and installed correctly even on a stock motor with relatively high compression. Take the Mustang market. You can put any number of kits on those cars they they will safely make 450 to 500rwhp without any other mods. There is no reason to think that these guys "GSM" would be any different and if you kept it to 8lbs or less you shouldn't be safe. I feel real bad for these guys because this kit is completely flawed in its fuel and timing aspects and the ONLY way anyone was to know that is to have supercharger experience like I do or try it and see what happens when it fails.

this statement is kind of confusing to me.i think you ment should be safe not shouldnt be safe, and are you saying gms doesnt have to test to make it perfect befor they sell it?like by testing on inhouse cars? again i dont think i understand your quote, sory michael.?
