stnepny3,i see your point and its a good 1.i wont spend the $$ on a super charger kit til i know its a real kit vs parts installed together.i know most people who shelled out the $$ hoped for the best but got burnned.i'll stick to bolt-ons til im sure the r&d has been done n prooven.yes this is a open forum.
i rather have stnepny3 give his .02 so we might save their engine.and nobody called anyone an a$$hole so guys lets not go there.we are a bunch of car guys arent we?......good lets stay that way.

Supercharger vs. Hemi

I want to say THANK YOU to srtdan for being open minded and friendly ...and...to armadillo why do you have to go there or be that way.....nobody said buyer beware....be free... let your car go fast.....me or us being in CALIF...have to watch Smog Certs.....(EO products...CARB certs).....OH and by the WE ARE CAR EUTHUSTHIS and Love our HOT RODS(OLD & NEW) Why be a GSM HATER you got what you paid for ...PERFORMANCE...nobody is pointing a finger at you for over reving the motor or hydo locking the motor...I don't know want goes on in AZ. ..But if you were so hot for performance why didn't you get a ATI - Procharger or AZERNOA SPEED & MARINE UNIT..(by the aren't they in your backyard)....(could it be because you had MONEY buring a hole in your pocket.....or..(EGO & PRIDE) you had to be the fastest (the BIG BOY on the BLOCK or could not wait...). And YES Kenne Bell (in CALIF) has not done a S/C yet..'cause like I was saying with the NGC computers it is very hard to break into (by the thanks to Dave at B&G and the guys at DC Performance) there is some head way on these ECM's....PUT YOUR EGO ASIDE....Read the article in HOT ROD NOV. '06..page 120...THESE HEMI HAVE SO MUCH UNTAPED POWER AND WEIGH YOUR OPTIONS......EGO vs. MONEY........POWER vs. DURABITITY.......PERFORMANCE vs. RELIABILITY

You gotta be kidding... he got what he paid for?? WHY did you buy a Charger SRT8? Was it ego? Did you want to have the fastest car on the block? What if a week after you bought your Charger that your STOCK engine blew up... and you repeatedly called Dodge... and they never returned your calls or emails or offered any help or assistance? And then you found out that YOU were going to have to pay for a new engine. Would you be singing a different tune?

Consumers rightfully EXPECT that a product that they buy will perform as advertised or marketed. And any decent company with integrity will not only STAND BEHIND and support the products that they sell but will do the PROPER RESEARCH on their products BEFORE they are offered to the public.

A lot of mixed comments! fair enough each to their own!

My mechanic made up my engine on my srt8 - i have all the trust in the world of this man as he built up my 1000rwhp supra - even tickered about with my 06 aston martin!
He has built up his own hot rods and has installed more superchargers than i am age.
The tuning came from one of the most respected people in the tuning industry in the UK,
so as for the tuning side of things everthing was done to the best that we could do! i knew the horror stories and i knew the good stories so thought why not ill give it ago.

all i can say is **** happens, the supercharger didnt help, but yes, it was the design of GSM, the ecu supplied needs alot of work, the fact that when you plug it in the fuel is off the chart rich, the limiter is not only altered but deleted.
the supercharger kit itself is like brand new - not a scratch, the engine is totalled! water (a lot) was found int he engine, and when the CAI was removed, the water poured out.
by the looks of the internals, the over revving was also a culpret.

Im not asking GSM for anything, im not expecting anything, ive spoken to Scott several times as weel as thier Tech people, they have admited how many engines they have gone through on thier own one and they keep a stock of engine parts in for their own car.

I wasnt expecting a proper bolt on kit, i know thats a bit too EASY, but i was expecting something pretty simple due to what GSM were saying - again a big learning curve and yes ego! but a fun few months!

Id like to thank so many of you , and tell so many of you to get a grip and stop trying to be the big "i told you so - im the big man that knows everything bull****"

the way that i got chrylser to deal with it, is i have a voice of an angel and a very convincing back ground and name behind me.

again - thank you to all who are supportive. and thank you for the views of the not supportive.

regards
Guy

So HOW MANY engines exactly did they say they have blown on their own car? I wonder if one of the reasons their engines are blowing up is that they are adding on other mods? How convenient that they are stocking spare engine parts for themselves, how unfortunate that they are not sharing any of those spare parts with their customers.
