Is there a governor on a 300c like the srt8? At what speed does it kick in?

126mpg on the 300. I think it is 155mph on the SRT8.
Outside the US the speed limiter is higher. Instead of providing us with higher speed rated tires in the US, DCX chose to put lower speed rated tires on our cars and cap the speeds with the limiter.
On the 300C, the limiter can increased to over 200mph with the Superchips Flashpaq.

Thank you for correcting my erroneous info srtdanno! I hadn't viewed that other thread. I think 155mph is the 300C (not SRT8) limit outside the US.

No problem….and you would be correct about the limiter on the 5.7 outside the US.

Yes there is, I thought it was 128 but Joey may be correct that it's 126...splitting hairs anyway.

You can "fix" this with the Superchips Flashpaq if it's important to you.

There is a way of increasing the limmiter go to the dealer and let them connect the starscan to the car and let them change the regional settings of the car to Malasia or GCC and this should do the trick did it to my old 300C and put it to US settings the limmiter kicked in at 128 m/h returned it to GCC and it got back to normal 159 m/h.

You can put on a performance tune, adjust the speedo for different tires, raise shift points, reduce torque mngt (so you can fry the tires without traction control), change the govenor speed, ++. You should be able to get a brand new one for about $400. Also, check out the trade section or ebay for some cheap used ones.

It plugs in under the dash. You run the tune and whateever options you want & then detach. It is really easy to use and you can return your car to stock in less than 5 min.
