Exclamation HHP 1st/2nd Gen TCM, SC Flashpack, Test Cars

2005 5.7 LX and 2nd GEN TCM's
Tonight we tried installing a 2Gen TCM on my 05 Magnum... Again it threw a code of P01644 which for the most part is an inknown.

We know that the 1st gen TCM works on the 05's since I have been running one for a few weeks now.

The only main differences I know of between my MAgnum and others that have installed the 2nd Gen TCMs is that I have a tow package on my ride and it is an 05.

We are going to ask for another 5.7 05 LX come down to try a 2nd Gen TCM install.

My build date is 11/04 so we need to find out the main differences and if there are earlier or later 05 models that the 2nd Gen with work in.

1st and 2nd gen TCM's and the SC Flash Pack FOR ALL 5.7 LX Platforms
I spoke to SuperChips today and the flash pack DOES flash the TCM, wheel size, shift points (in conjunction with the PCM, etc...

If you DO buy and install a either generations of the TCM and you are running a Super Chip tune YOU MUST set the car back to stock PRIOR to installing the new TCM

If you have already installed the TCM and you left a SC tune on your LX you will need to reinstall your stock TCM and set the car back to stock.

If you attempt to set the car back to stock with a different TCM other than the one that was in there when it was flashed with the SC flash pack it may lock out and disable the vehicle.

  • 07 5.7 300C
  • 06 5.7 Magnum
  • 07 5.7 Magnum
The specifics for being a test car are:
  • You must be willing to come dow nto the shop in Newark, DE for install
  • Call me and place an order for a 2nd gen TCM
  • We need a three-four day lead time
  • Provide me with your VIN
  • We will charge you the 1Gen TCM price and install it for free
  • If the 2nd Gen does not work in your car like it does not work in my 11/04 build date Magnum you can have a 1st Gen TCM installed.
Please e-mail me at electrofied@highhorseperformance.com (DO NOT PM ME)

Thank you,
Electrofied
