Base 300/ Brembo Brake Converstion???

I've tried quite a few searches, but nothing significant! Has anyone completed this mod on their base 300 or touring? I have been thinking of doing this , but would like to know if there is anything that may cause a problem. I am aware that Brembo recommends at least 18 inch rims for safety, but is it as simple as plug and play? Hey Danno! Maybe you can help with some links !!!

Are you talking about the SRT Brembros??? You can put those on but you have to change the tie rods I think it is. Ask Dave Z he would know all the parts you would need to change over to them!

Doesn't necessarily have to be Brembo's from the SRT, but any Brembo's designed for the Base 300. If it requires a change of tie rods, that would include alignment as well and that starts to add on to total cost! The Brembo Kits that I have priced out are not cheap and can hurt the wallet without install !

are you converting for the performance or the looks?

if you want to see them, better plan on some bigger hoops than 18's with larger windows. considering the price of the brakes, wheels, and tires... I wouldn't sweat an alignment...

Look in to baer or stoptech they both have 300 kits and its half the price of brembos, with 2 piece rotors and all 6 or 8 piston.

I'm looking for additions in both performance and appearance! Performance is first, appearance is second. Right now I'm running 22" shoes and know that braking is effected greatly with any addition of weight, so the step up would help a great deal in the performance!!!

that big of a brake upgrade would CERTAINLY make up for 22's. drop back a couple of wheel sizes if performance is priority one.

the heavy 22's are all about... what is it... bling, blinging?

Ha! Yeah, I love the way they look, but I'm looking into a forged wheel as we speak!
