V6 Guys!!! Ported Tbody well I guess V8 guys too!!

GremlinSteve aka Steve Frank from Frank Racing over at lxforums.com was able to port out my TB from 63.5mm to a FULL 68mm. Which will probably get about 15% more air flow into the engine. Now I had this done on my saturn with a cable driven TB (its easier if its cable no internals) and I could feel a tremendous difference in just the ported TB with a CAI. He is in the process of putting it back together now. He had to take out the internals in order to port it out. If everything works out he will be shipping it back to me so I can put it in and make sure everything works fine. Once that is done I am sure he will be taking orders. I will be going out of town shortly so I probably wont have a chance to put it in my car until the 2nd week of Jan. But I will let everyone know what happens, you know if it works right the power gains and all of that stuff. So cross your fingers cause this is something else that can help to add power to the V6's and I guess you V8 guys can do it to but you TB is like 83mm stock. If you have any questions just ask I will do my best to answer them!!

Oh he is also looking for anyone that has some ported heads for some R&D work!!

Here is the link to the topic over at lxforums

nice pic dub!!!

I thought more people would be interested in this. I mean I know its not a supercharger but there are power gains from porting a TB.

no prob johnny!! Steve said the hard part is taking the internals out. So as long as he gets everything back in perfect the TB should be fine!!!
