Who makes the Mopar exhaust?

I asked my dealer to install a Borla exhaust on my SRT8 and it says Mopar on the tip and cetainly does not look like the Borla exhaust on my wife's 300C.

The dealer says that all Mopar exhausts are made by Borla. Hard to believe...

Under another thread it was mentioned that Corsa makes them for Mopar. I haven't had it long enough to see how I like it. It is pretty quiet. The thing is, I asked for a Borla and did I get one?

Corsa makes the mopar exhaust for the SRT8. Going to both Mopar, and Corsa sites, you can see they are identical. ( other than Mopar being on the Tip )

Borla makes the 5.7 Mopar performance exhaust and the tips still say Borla on them, although the mufflers are stamped with the Mopar logo (or at least the early ones were... dunno about now). As you have heard, Corsa makes the SRT8 exhaust.

So the dealer didn't know what he was talking about... what a shock.

...Assuming of course he put the right pipes on. Do you have bottle-shaped canister resonators in back, and teeny-skinny canister mufflers up front? Thats the correct Corsa system.

If it looks like you have 4 mufflers, thats the Borla. Not sure if the newer ones still have the borla stamped on the tips.

Thanks for clearing that up Matt. I had no idea. I assumed Corsa made them for both 5.7 and 6.1, for Mopar.

5.7 Mopar exhaust is by Borla
6.1 Mopar exhuast is by Corsa

WHen I got my CORSA, I spoke to the CORSA factory rep and he said that BORLA made the old MOPAR exhaust for both the 5.7 and the 6.1 and that the delay in releasing the CORSA for the 5.7 was because it had to pass the MOPAR Quality check since CORSA was due to be the new MOPAR brand. Perhaps you simply got old stock that was still on the shelf?

Thanks for the feedback. I went to the Corsa site and yes, that is the system on my car. I am actually not disappointed with the system. I like the sound and feel. The issue is that I asked my dealer for a Borla and they put on a Corsa and tell me it's a Borla. This is the same dealer that sold my wife a 300C with a dead animal stuck in the body panel.

Thanks again. Happy Holidays.

Paul

So there's an OLD Mopar 5.7 (Borla) and a new Mopar 5.7 (Corsa?)

???

I know a bunch of people with the Mopar/Borla exhaust. This is the first time I heard that Corsa is taking over. What I thought was still the Mopar 5.7 exhaust was the Borla #140112, Mopar part 4510855, and its still on sale at all of the Mopar web sites I visited. No mention of the Corsa... yet. When did you hear this Bob?

With the extra volume I have thanks to my mods, I've considered the SRT Corsa for my car, with its wider pipes. Looks like its the SRT system but with 2.5" tubing. Hmmm. Have also talked to Zoomers about a special job.
