Noob Alert: I know nothing....

So, I haven't the slightest idea on engine stuff. I know what CAI stands for...that's about it (just to make sure....cold-air intake right?). I have just the pretty plain jane V6 base model 300. Anything semi-special, semi-inexpensive I can do to spuce up the performance some? Like an intake...something of that sort? Thanks for ideas...and knowledge

Kenny

kensmash...I'd be glad to help. But first, I need to know what "semi-expensive" means to you.

Intake helps and there are a lot of kits out there that don't cost much. Couple that with exhaust and there's better performance.

However, before I can give you a definitive answer, what's "semi-expensive" mean to you?

Kensmash sorry I'm not much help in the (car) performance dept. Other than intake and exhaust, I'm not sure what all is available for the base model as far as performance goes. Hopefully you'll find the answers you're looking for - tons of super smart engine guys around here (just not me). G'luck!

anywhere between $100-$300 is about what I would consider spending on an intake.

I'm already in the works with getting an exhaust set from blastin' bobs.

Then consider the AFE, Air Hammer (may be more than $300) or the Volant enclosed system. I went with the Volant and got it from a supporting vendor, SoCalMotorsports.com. They have a link under the Vendor listings here.

I have a pic of it on my PC at home and will post it here later tonight so you can see what I am talking about. Mine is built for the HEMI, of course, and I checked their website for the V6 version of the kit but it's not shown there. They are working on a kit for the 3.5L Chrysler 300C which should be available within the next 60 days, according to their website.

Volant Cool Air Intakes

Later!

Yes but people have been having issues relocating their headlight fluid reservoir. Something about a bad muffler bearing on the knuter valve.
