AFE trouble

ok everything is so simple except for that damn IAT. I cant get it into the AFE for my life. I have been working on it for 45 min and my forearms are hurting now. What methods did u guys use before i break the thing.

Have you tried any lubricant? Just use a little. Hell probably just using a little spit would do the job.

Are you sure you have the right side down? Not trying to be a smart a$$, it's just that the AFE actually comes with a rubber stopper that goes around the IAT sensor because the hole in the intake tube is larger than the one on the stock tube.

I've run into this too. Pull that rubber stopper/collar from the tube, put it over the IAT, then reinstall the assembly. Add a little lub to the collar.

well i got it finally, i just spit all over it and it slipped in and then drove for about 2 hours and just had the windows down and music off enjoying the sound it makes . thanks for the help guys.
