nitrous grade

i think the difference between the nitrous the speed shop fills your bottle with and medical grade nitrous is that sulfer is added. so by running medical grade you will not see performance gains, however i have the ability to get medical grade for about 2 bucks a lbs , whereas the speed shop is gettin just about 5 bucks a lb. can i run the medical grade in my zex system with out a problem?
thanks travis

As far as I know you can run the medical grade. I was talking to a guy out at the local dragstrip that was running medical grade nitrous in his 8 second Camaro.

Only difference I'm aware of is, medical grade won't kill you if you inhale too much of it. haha, I'm sure it will be fine, fill er up and give it a shot see how it works.

The nitrous you buy at the high performance shop is the exact same as the medical. The only difference is there is a chemical added to the non medical stuff that will make you very sick before you can get high off of it.

This: Automotive nitrous available to the public often has trace amounts of sulphuric compounds added to prevent recreational use. The sulphur additives only act to make the taste and odor of the gas unpleasant, and does not diminish the effects of the gas in any manner (although some sulfur compounds may be harmful to the lungs when inhaled, elemental sulfur is non-toxic)[citation needed].

Taken from this: Nitrous oxide - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
