What Oil & Filter Are You Using?

I'm just wondering what you guys are using. After much research I went with:

Mobil One Turbo Diesel Truck Oil 5W40
Purolater PureOne filter

I agree NotYet, JMatt's "Changing My Oil...Gasp" is great. I like the Napa Gold filter.

If I read your profile correctly you have a 300C (5.7) not an SRT8 - - why are you using 5w40 and not 5w20? Supposedly the MDS system won't work properly using a heavier oil (according to Chrysler).

I started off using Mobil 1 5w20 but have switched to Royal Purple 5w20 after seeing the comparison in the "thoughts on synthetic oil" thread. And like StealthSrt, NapaGold #1085 oil filter. In fact I use Napa Gold filters in all my vehicles.

I was usin' Mobil 1 also then made the switch after my 1st oil change. I've been using Royal Purple 5w20 w/ the NapaGold #1085 also.

If you have an SRT-8, I think that's an awesome choice.
If you have the 5.7L, I think that's a horrible choice.

I'm not as familiar with the 5W20 oils available, but Royal Purple looks impressive to me across the line.

D's300C, $6 a quart is a decent price. The Pep Boys by me sells it for $6.99 a quart.

I've been using Royal Purple 5w20 since my first oil change with the K&N Oil Filter.

mobil1 5w20 and a chrysler filter (because they are the only ones that have the bleed off pluger in there so oil doesnt leave the filter when the motor is shut off) this helps prevent the common hemi clatter

I'm sorry to say it, but this is blatantly incorrect. Someone sold you a line.
