wheel hop?? WTF?

If you read my other posts from yesterday about my new heads/cam/headers/TC/tune upgrade, you will see all is well...but today, on a couple of 0-60 launches, I actually had wheel hop. Couldn't believe this..never heard of it in a Chrysler. I knw the CTS-Vs have it, and my current STS-V has done it in a minor way, several times.

Anyone have this experience in a 300C or SRT8?? Any clues as to why??

Check his sig. He's running Toyo Proxes 4s. He also just had a ton of major performance mods done (heads/cam) as well as suspension upgrade (KWs/Hotchkis).

I've got the Toyo Proxes and lots of power and have not had that problem.

whats weird is that for the first day and a half, did not have that issue. Screching burnouts..yes, but the wheel hop just started yesterday.

Looked under the car just to make sure everything was still tight (sways, KWs, bushings)..all looks good. Guess we will see if it was a one time thing or a longer term problem. I did notice it seems to be even stronger now that the PCM flash is learning more that 900 miles...

not sure what it was, but went out last night for a few runs and no more wheel hop. The only thing I did different is I went from idle, as opposed to loading up the TC at 1500 or so..

who knows..she ran great though! (dashhawk gave me a 4.45 0-60 and a 12.67 1/4)
