Heads/Cam package?

Has anyone done this on a hemi yet? What type of gains are to be expected?

It might be a while before someone will think about tearing apart a new motor for more power. Particularly one with the power already available to the 5.7L hemi. What will be interesting is what types of programe will be poping up for upgrading fuel curve, tranny shift points and shift firmness. Will it be a modified Mercedes performance tune? I would think it would need to be, if the electronics and tranny are Mercedes design. I know there are lots of aftermarket tuning sources for German cars. It may take a while for someone to come up with the right chip or program for the 300C (American V8, German Tranny and Computer).

Save you money for the SRT version of the 300 with the 6.1 Hemi 440 motor.

Hey Viper10, not sure how you got 6.1 to relate to 440?

5.7 is around 345 Cubic Inch and 6.1 is around 370 Ci. Also 440 is about 7.2 and who knows?, we may see that is a few years too

teahead, yep you are probably right, my mistake :o. In OZ we have Kilowatts for power rating not Horsepower like you guys. That is what threw me.
