Corsa Drone: RPM ranges

On my Zoomers, it seems there is more drone and different notes at different RPM levels. Lowers speeds and RPM equal a different note and level of drone.

Do the guys with Corsa have any drone at any speed or RPM range? If you hit a highway and throw on the cruise control and use the cruise to accelerate through the range, do you get any drone?

None at all....I have run my Corsa's at all speeds and highway conditions. I have taken several long very long trips with cruise control. The Corsa system is designed and made to eliminate the drone frequency. That's why it took so much time to put it out to market. They tuned the system so it's perfect.

The exhaust can be heard, if you're listening for it, when cruising but its not peircing like most exhaust drone I've experienced. I would describe drone as an "intrusive" sound, whereas any cruising noise from the Corsa is in line with other road and engine noise.

BTW, this is with the high flow cats, too.

I have Zoomers too. The drone is between 2.500 and 3.000 rpm (87 to 105), nothing below and nothing above that range. Problem is I really need those 90 to 105 mph on the highway. At which RPM ranges do you get drone?

With my Corsa system, there is no drone or resonance coming into the cabin from underneath. The sound is projected out behind the car from the muffler tips. It is not noticable until I go over 85 mph. It just increases somewhat as speed goes up.

However, if I open it up at lower speeds, it sounds like an open system, with a brrrrraaaaaakkk sound when the throttle closes between shifts.

Pure unrestricted V8 power!

Ah yes...the infamous Torque Management-induced Hemi Fart.

It is without a doubt one of the worst sounds I have ever heard come out of a car. Does the Superchips 3825 get rid of it?

Hey - I LOVE the Hemi Fart sound!!!!

My Legends race car does the same thing, but not as ripe, fruity and sweet as the big 6.1 SRT8 hemi . . .

Is this a 6.1 topic or 5.7?

i believe it was a 5.7 topic...but the corsa is like no other system i've ever heard...if you step on it...you know its there, but as soon as you take your foot off the pedal, its stock quiet...whatever/however they made that system...is worth the 1200 for that kinda tame sound then just plain MEAN at WOT
