Trouble Code P01113

Hey guys, new to the Chrysler world and this forum, but look forward to many years hear. I am in need of some help. I installed a CAI this weekend from GS Motorsports. The installation required the relocation of the IAT sensor. Now I have the P01113 code in the car. I pulled the number 11 fuse, but it still stays on. Any more suggestions please???

Welcome Big Boi,
Here is what the service manual has to say about your error code:
Quote:
P0113-INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH (CONTINUED)
For the Engine System Schematic circuit diagram. (Refer to 9 - ENGINE - SCHEMATICS AND DIAGRAMS)
For a complete wiring diagram Refer to Section 8W.
² When Monitored:
With the ignition on. Battery voltage greater than 10.4 volts.
² Set Condition:
The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor circuit voltage at the PCM goes above 4.98 volts for 2.8 seconds.

One Trip Fault. Three good trips to turn off the MIL.
Possible Causes
(K21) IAT SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO BATTERY VOLTAGE
(K21) IAT SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN
(K900) SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
IAT SENSOR
PCM
If you have verified the connections are sound, you could try the battery disconnect procedure, but the error code needs 3 error-free 'cycles' to clear. I had the same error code after installing a CAI on my last 300C, 3rd drive cleared it. If that's all it is, a few trips around the block and you should be fine.

Best of luck and enjoy your stay with us!

Thank you for the info and the help. But no go on the 3rd trip and the light goin off I am gonna check the wires later 2nite, but I am not expecting any lose wires. I didn't damage the IAT sensor, there is no loss in performance. I am considering the Scangauge because I am also looking to install a catback exhaust. Any more ideas???

Welcome to the forums Big Boi and sorry you’re throwing the IAT code. The fix Hemeee listed is the most common one I’ve seen used so I don’t know what else there is to do. There have been a few members who said it took more than 3 times to clear, but it eventually did. Good luck and keep us posted.

If you're certain it's well-seated and was not damaged, I wouldn't worry about it unless it doesn't clear after a few days.

The rule of thumb is "One Trip Fault - Three good trips to turn off the MIL".
You may have driven it 3 times, but still not had 3 "good" trips to cycle it off. I was told it would not harm anything to drive mine, and this shouldn't be an issue for your catback install.

Have fun!

Hey Guys & Gals. Just wanted to let all know that I was able to rid myself of that horrid orange engine light on the dash. I disconnected the battery, pulled fuses, drove through a tank of gas, pulled the wire harness exstension, checked that, adjusted the sensor and intak tube.....then just went to my local Autozone and have them erase the error with their Actron code scanner. A few drives later, still no light!!!! Once again, thank you to all who replied. Have a great night....

Big Boi Out
