Watching with interest . . .

If it performs as claimed, then I see long tube headers and a cam in my future.

Please excuse my ignorance as I am NEW to the mod scene, but what does all this do and why is everyone so psyched about this product? Can a newbie like me take advantage of something like this to get performance gains?

goherd, the simple way to answer your question is this: everyone is so excited b/c to date, there has not been a true tuner for the SRTs. There have been lots of promises, hopes, dreams, hype, etc.. in the past but this one looks (for the moment) to be coming to fruition (maybe).

thanks Notyet..but can you elaborate on a TUNER and what it does? What kind of gains are we looking at?

there is a LONG thread about this over at lxforums, where mike from diablosport has been posting.

New tuner coming soon - LX Forums

there was also an update from another diablosport employee saying that the tuner would be out officially at the end of july. mike seems to be very aware of how in the past the community was let down with this (before our time here, i think, goherd) and says he continually reminds his tuners and guys he works with of this.

and as i understand, something like this will finally allow people to get cams, heads, port and polish, S/Cs, etc and use this to make the PCM understand the changes that were made to the system. as of now, you add those things, but the system doesnt understand what you have done, so you dont get the full benefit of the mods. the B&G helps with this, but since it is a set program, there are no parameters that you can change.
