Puttin a 5.7 in 2.7 300C ??

Hi guys,

is it ever been done ??

I live in Belgium and i have the 300C with a 2.7.

Anything is possible but I can't imagine it would be cost effective considering you can get a 5.7 "C" readily available new or used. It involves a LOT more than just dropping a different engine in.

I'm not a member of the charger forum, and i would do it because in Belgium the taxes are very high on the type of engine .

So on paper it's a 2.7 but in life it's a HEMI

Can somebody please find the link of the swop of the engine please

i don't know how emissions/smog tests are conducted in your nation, but in many places in the US, they don't have emissions testing. in others, they simply plug a computer into your diagnostic port and check to see that all the emissions systems are working correctly. if they are working correctly, that's it, you're done.

some places still put vehicles on rollers and test exhaust gasses. i wonder how the 5.7L compares (in terms of emissions) compared to the 2.7L. if it pollutes more than the 2.7, you could fail emissions testing, which here in the states would keep you from getting your vehicle registered.
