CAI vs K&N Panel

Anyone venture their opinion on my fitting a K&N type panel filter or going for a full piped induction system to my 5.7 does the induction kit give a significantly better induction rip?

Thanks in advance

Derek

Full induction is better. I've always thought of a K+N replacement filter as flowing a little better than stock but you'll never need to buy another one for the vehicle. A complete aftermarket induction will allow the vehicle to breath better. You can usually expect to see about a 10hp increase.

be careful with the CAI kits. you need to make sure there is some sort of heat shield kit that goes with it. engines that eat engine heat will not do you any good. the stock airbox is a pretty good induction system for cold air because it guards from heat. try not to get a CAI off ebay. get the good ones with the heat shield.
