Help on First Modifications

Hi i recently purchased the srt-8 300c and i dont want to go all out but i want a bit more power. I have already had a custom exhaust built and fitted. I am not familiar with these cars so i don't know what will give me peak performance. Any help would be appreciated
cheers lads

Welcome from our LXs in the Ohio River hills of West Virginia! There are a couple of inexpensive mods that will make a noticeable difference (IMO)...

180 Tstat (cheap and easiest mod there is). A Fan-mod required for max. effectiveness of 180 Tstat at low speeds (stop-n-go).

CAI (Either Air Hammer - my first choice - or AFE Stage II) have proven to be power adders (actually power recoverers).

Phenolic Spacer for the intake manifold.

After that you are looking at forced induction, headers, and/or cams and the like.

A new programmer from Diablo Sport is supposed to be available near the end of this month, but we'll see...

My 2 cents...

Rydeit...GoffyTimL had three very good start up mods. A few other mods might be the TSB transmission flash and B&G flashed PCM. The next tier of mods would be bigger cam and ported heads. The cam/head package has reported some big hp gains on th 6.1.

My advice, if they can deliver half of what they say they will, is to sign up for the DiabloSport Predator Programmer group buy. This thing will be awesome.... They brought my Ford to life...
