Cam/Heads/Kooks Headers/ sound clip

Many of you have asked about the idle and sound of my upgrades with the 5.7.
If I did this right here is a sound clip... the cam is quite smooth.

It might be the sound quality, but that sounded a bit hairy on the idle. Out of curiosity, was that a cold start? Sounds GREAT when the revs pick up though.

yes...I THINK what your referring to is the sound quality, taken from a digital camera..but I am not positive. It does sound a little different (smoother) in person. That was not a cold start..had started it a few minutes earlier and backed it out of the garage. Cold starts are more "lopey" for 15-20 seconds till she's warmed up a notch.

With the kooks, it is definitely different, more pronounced, then when I just had the corsas..
Next week I will get a clip from inside the vehicle going from normal driving to heavy acceleration..that is the best sound you can imagine from the cabin.

when this thing sounds really incredible, is from another vehicle and it goes WOT (I got to hear that when my bro and I took them out to play last week). WOW-thats all I can say.

thank you...the cam install was actually part of a multi component upgrade all done at once (PP heads/cam/headers) so I couldn't specifically tell you. HHP, one of our supporting vendors did the work and negotiated a nice package price for me since they also added B&G flash, rotors, pads,KW coilovers, Hotchkis sways, and a few other visual goodies.

These mods may not be for everyone. They turned this car into a monster that is mild mannered during normal driving, put is incredibly strong at WOT or heavy acceleration. It is a sleeper till you nail it...then evryone nearby knows your coming. It is srt8 level power (actually a bit more than stock srt8 I had), but in a 300C....
