Absolutely BAD A$$.

The problem with me is that I would be too anal to drive the damn thing.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!! TAKE MY ADVICE ON THIS.

Before you do any driving, GET A DAMN STONEGUARD (INVISIBLE BRA) PUT ON THAT FRONT END ASAP.

A run of 400 is nothing and that car is worth bucks already.

I love the color, something Elvis Presley would have owned if he were still alive, oh wait, maybe he still is ;-).

Awesome rod bro...

SRT8/BMW...Congradulations! Talk about the ultimate impulse buy! So do we call you SRT8/BMW/300C/Charger now? Did you trade the 300 in? When do you take possession? Give us some details so we can live vicariously.

I was hoping you'd sign in. Yeah--I am not sure what my screen name should be on these forums now--perhaps "sucker for a Hemi" or "HeGotProblem"

As Gunslinger said in above post..I am thinking (at least at this moment) more of a very low mileage collector type car..keep it basically stock, clear bra, 180 thermo, fan mod, and maybe a tranny flash or tune if diablo is any good..but that is it. The car is stunning in person--it really is.

At the moment of purchase- a weak moment- I was thinking..."sell the 300C."

I only went to the dealer cause I was at work and someone on the Charger forum said there was a Plum Crazy srt at the dealership 3 miles from my office, and none of those guys had seen one (they were not even sure there was really a 2007 release--more of a rumor) They all wanted a picture, so like an idiot I volunteered (always a bad move) to go at lunch and get pics with my cell phone. So off to the dealer (always a REALLY bad move) at lunch.

Was absolutely spellbound by the car..has all options (SRT groups I, II and III). It Looks even better in real life than in PICS--and there are only 400.

So..I plunked down a large deposit and told them I'd be back to pick it up next week.

Now..I am thinking of maybe keeping the 300C. I ABSOLUTELY love the way it drives now..it is a pleasure cruiser at normal speeds, and a beast from another planet when you get on it..it is (don't anyone be offended) substantially faster than my stock srt8 was (I would guess 3 or 4 tenths). A perfect daily driver.
Besides, if you think about what I put into it, (approximations-receipts not in front of me)

sticker $37,245 (ok-got it for a lot less cause they wanted the 06s off the lot in March of 07)

cost $29,000
wheels/tires $1900
corsa cat backs, Dub CAI $1300
S/C flashpaq $400
Mopar Grille $400
Heads/valves-retainers-springs/cam/Kooks LTs/B&G II
hotchkis sways/KWs/Billet Knobs/ 409 tails
slotted rotors/ 180 thermo/EBC brake Pads
and all labor-$11,500
GSM mod $200.

Thats roughly $45k--and car has 6900 miles on it, 1900 of which were the drive to Deleware and back to have HHP do the engine work.

Now when you do this kind of stuff you naturally understand your not going to make money and will in fact probably lose big time-and I am ok with that. Its a question of degree though. Car costs almost as much as a loded srt8 (it should, its faster, more unique now, and has a better ride). Its just that I doubt I could sell it for a a price I think is reasonable. (say $37-$39K). And like I said..it is a GREAT daily driver and quite the sleeper...I am kicking everyone's butt who runs me.

So...my thinking now is to keep it and drive it during warm weather/ keep the Plum Crazy srt8 for show and weekends/ keep the tahoe as winter-hauler of kids and dogs-long trip car, and get rid of the sts-v.

Let me attach some pics from another Charger threadwhich came in yesterday, which are outdoors (which I like better than my indoor pics).

(be careful, as you already know, once you start it's hard to stop) The car is stunning in person--it really is. It's stunning in pictures too!

At the moment of purchase- a weak moment- I was thinking..."sell the 300C." That was the devil talking...ignor him!

So off to the dealer (always a REALLY bad move) at lunch. I can think of at least a 1000 things worse to do at lunch.

Was absolutely spellbound by the car..has all options (SRT groups I, II and III). It Looks even better in real life than in PICS This I don't doubt one bit. --and there are only 400.

So..I plunked down a large deposit and told them I'd be back to pick it up next week. What's the use in having money if you don't use it!

Thats roughly $45k--and car has 6900 miles on it, 1900 of which were the drive to Deleware and back to have HHP do the engine work. The drive back must have been twice the fun as the drive there. No offense toward the folks from Delaware should be taken, the first drive with new performance parts is alway a special drive.

A great car but definitely the low man on the totem pole now. And besides, what could be better than a stable of Hemi's. (I'll answer that for you...nothing)

Let me attach some pics from another Charger threadwhich came in yesterday, which are outdoors (which I like better than my indoor pics).

Again, congratulations on the impulse buy, it will probably turn out to be one of your better decision. If buyers remorse starts eating at you while you are weak and waiting for delivery...take it out on the sts-v.

what a sucker

That's why I don't hang at the dealers!!! Too many cars come home that way.

Beautiful car, very sharp. And what a terrific problem, which one to get rid of. Why not do what I did... build a bigger garage!!!!

Good looking car. I wonder the difference in the C and Charger SRT? I think that the Charger sounded more aggressive and mean? My C SRT8 sounds a lil whimpy to me... And the Charger SRT8 I drove felt stronger to me.
