Swapping TCMs

I have a Stage II GSM TCM in the car right now. I want to know if I can put my original factory TCM back in the car without a Starscan. I'm having some lagging when shifting and I want to rule the TCM in or out. I'm just not sure if I can reinstall the original TCM or if I need the Starscan to flash the TCM to get it to work once it's back in the car. Thanks.

Yes, you can swap them. No starscan needed. That is only if you have a new TCM or one from another vehicle.
