Does anybody sell a true 3in exhaust and with two mufflers. I'm planning on put in headers and a little bigger engine in 60k, as soon as warranty is done.

I haven't dynoed my machine -- and honestly, I doubt the power is any better -- but I love the sound of my car without resonators and with a CAI. Much cheaper, as well.

Steve,
Thanks for posting the videos, as far as I know you are in un-chartered waters with your resonator-less exhaust and uploading videos. Any chance you can post another one from outside the car with a longer acceleration?

Eric

Steve,
Could you also post a picture of your exhaust from the suitcase back to the tips? Did you reuse your old tips? Thanks!

Eric

I did indeed reuse my old tips. We (meaning the local muffler guy) just cut out the resonators and replaced them with tubing of the same diameter.

I'll see if I can get some more video; the trouble is that I'm hesitant to gamble on a ferocious ticket in a residential neighborhood.

I can tell you that I was at Altamont last weekend and got many kudos from people about how Stealth the car was until you opened it up, at which point it sounded like a stock car.

But I'll see if I can hold it open a few more seconds in the next video!

Totally understand Steve, I just can't wait until my wife drives it next time and notices the sound

I'll just tell her she was the one who said the guys with loud set-ups sounded great when we were on the LX-cruise to Columbus... i.e. I won't tell her when I get this done, I'll just have to stay at work a little late one day

Did you just go at an angle from where the stock exhaust was headed to where the tips exit? A photo would be better than a video...I think I'm sold.

I just took a quick shot in my garage which show how it's just straight pipe now (you can see the weld, so shoot me ) And yes, the colors are off because I pushed the brightness up so you can see; it was overcast this morning.

I like the Borla system, it's quiet until you lay on the throttle.

I guess it's just personal preference in picking an exhaust, because they all do roughly make similar increases in HP.
