Maradyne Cooling Fans? More HP, cooler Engine...

Has anyone heard or used Maradyne cooling products? I was thinking about getting and installing a pusher fan directly attached to the front of the radiator. They come with mounting kits and wiring harnesses, etc.... Thought it would be a good addition to my 108 degree t-stat, plus I could wire a switch into the cabin real easy like.

Model M142 Reversible Fan
=============================

"Maradyne's High Performance Reversible Fans are low profile, 12 volt universal mount fans that can be used as pusher fans or puller fans. Maradyne fans are all individually balanced for top Performance and Efficiency. Used as a primary fan, you will free up wasted horsepower and extend water pump life. Use as a pusher type fan, mounted in front of radiator, to add additional cooling capacity to avoid overheating. An excellect choice for applications with minimal clearance between radiator and engine. "

What kind of wattage are they though? High-watt fans aren't much good for performance purposes, as the load placed on the alternator to run them offsets the hp gained from a cooler engine. GREAT while sitting at the lights/trackside to get heat soak off your back...

Looks like they run from 60 to 225 watts. Here's one for sale on eBay:

How would that be any better than what we already have... two fans, one low-speed, one high-speed, directly ducted behind the radiator... other than the activation temperature control - and that's available via a fan mod such as the CoolIt version???

I think the fans we have stock are both low/high speed, right?
I just thought that having the additional fan would give versatility and added cooling power. Especially as a pusher fan, I think it would be great. Plus we could leave the stock cooling system alone and use the Maradyne adjustable temp. control or fixed 185 degree.

sounds good

this would probably be easier than messing around with the stockers. You will run into the factory trans cooler on SRT8, but that's easily relocated.

As previously stated, the current draw is an issue. I have noticed a huge improvement in AC efficiency on other vehicles with this mod.

Couldn't you replace one of the factory fans with these? I am sure they are lighter than the factory.
