What does an aftermarket catback do to your warranty?

I hear lots of bad stories about people modding their 300Cs and warranties being voided. What can I expect?

Thanks in advance...

Any mod you do can only void the warranty on the part of the car affected by the mod. And - the burden of proof is on the manufacturer (not the dealer) to prove that the mod caused a part to fail or malfuction.

I think you are quite safe - warranty-wise - witha catback aftermarket exhaust system. Mopar sells similar systems.

And - welcome to the forum! Have a look around - there is a huge amount of info here on all things 300. You might even want to take a moment to post up a bit about yourself and your ride in http://www.300cforums.com/forums/new...ns-assistance/ .

yeah man, welcome.

Northern hit it right on the head. These simple bolt on mods a dealer should normally overlook. more advanced, internal motor work is a different story, but either way, like he said, Mopar sells exhaust for the car, so you should be okay. this is my third car that has a dealer warranty, and even though i havent modded it yet, past experiences have been good with other dealers, so i have no qualms about modding this one.
