Supercharger Announcement for 300C

Rumor is that GS Motorsports will be announcing the availability of a functional supercharger for the 300C/MagnumRT this week using the Paxton Supercharger kit.

Here is a link to their site - this is not the purported announcement: http://www.gsmotorsports.com/hemi/supercharger.html

Strike the "rumor" comment. GS Motorsports just confirmed via E-mail that the announcment is coming out this week.

So start compiling your ECU questions folks . . . .

That's good news. Someone has apparently been able to modify the ECU.

And the folks at GS Motorsports confirmed that they indeed have cracked the ECU.

With the SRT-8 you:
Keep the warranty
Higher Resale Value
Upgraded rims and tires
Upgraded brakes
Upgraded handling
Respect

A supercharged 300c would be:
A few Thousand cheaper then the SRT.
Be much faster then a stock SRT-8.
Head snapping torque
Insanely Fast
Void the warranty
Would not brake or handle as well

Should run 0-60 in under 4.5 seconds no problem.

Since I already have a AWD 300c that would be my route.

It would be harder to supercharge the SRT as it already has a 10.3:1 compression ratio. The SRT gets it's peak power around the 300c's Redline and it has only marginally more torque. A Supercharged inter-cooled 300c would have ungodly torque even at low RPM's. The AWD would make the fastest setup with street tires.

I had a Turbocharged intercooled AWD GMC Typhoon that was running 21psi of boost. That truck did 0-60 in 4 seconds flat.

And only 6 cylinders.

My initial question is; wouldn't the compression ratio need to be reduced to add a supercharger? I think that the hemi's rate of 9.6 may too high to supercharge, without problems of longevity.
