No, but it would be nice.

The oil not getting hot is one of the reasons why short-trip cars are in the "severe duty" column for short-interval oil changes.

But an engine also has "hot spots" as the oil passes through it. So your gauge might tell you that the oil temp is below boiling, but there may be localized conditions over 212 degrees.
