I've had my C in to the dealer three time for this problem. If the car is driven for short trips like two miles (to work for me) then parked and then repeated again for four or five days it would kill the battery. From what I've found it can be the WCM or sunroof CM that remains active keeping the CANBUS active.

But I had both flashed to the upgrade and still had the problem so got flashed to the latest software upgrade for the car. No help. Last time they replaced the battery for the third time tweaked some of the car settings has been three weeks so far with no probs... (fingers are crossed).. If they can't fix it they can have there car back. For the money we pay for these cars they should at least start.. Search the web and you will find others with the same problem
. Oh and if don't start don't jump it yourself make them come and do it for you.. That way you have a running recored

wow, this thread went to hell quickly!

I'm sure some of these issues are related to current draw, but my car has sat for two weeks plus while I was gone on vacation and it didn't seem to care.

There's got to be a defect somewhere. I usually charge the battery fully first with a good charger and then check your voltage over a few days. You can see real quick if you've got a draw by disconnecting the battery cable and comparing.

I just noticed that the car is a 2005 model, which means thet the battery could be over 3 years old, and could be failing.

Just a thought.

If the car sits for 6 or 7 days, when I start, the battey barely provides enough juice to start - it starts, but the first bump on the ignition and you'd think the battery was dead. Seeing that you have a problem, I have not driven my 300C in 15 days and didn't have a problem today. My car was purchased in May 05 and at 2 years 5 months with only 23k miles, I should have seen a problem by now. I think you may have an electrical issue that you need to look at. Maybe you can check the current drain to see if something is pulling the battery down.
