High Flow cats question... Code

Hey guys, I have Magnaflow High Flow cats, and factory exhaust. I have never thrown codes with the cats, and never codes thru all the exhaust changed I did.

I was driving last night, and I heard a weird noise and it was soft, almost like it was under me like something brushed the car and that minute a code was thrown... So I take it to the dealer today, and they say it was a "cat converter efficiency code".

Now I did get the cats used from a member... Do these things go bad? Or could something dislodge from the cat and enter the exhaust?

By the way, I noticed nothing performance related... The car feels the same.

HELP!

Thank you

Yes. I've seen pictures of the Cat's honeycomb blowing out of the Cat and lodging into the exhaust downstream.

If you get PO420 & 430 try to non-foulers in your down stream o2 sensors.
I'd start with the shorter ones and double up if you have to.

I get a P0133 (O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1 Sensor 1)) every time there is a large (60+ºF) temperature swing. Goes away after a day or two or after a clear it. Doesn't come back until the next big temp swing.

Do the dash reader thing. Flip the key to the acc 3 times fast on and off and it will show in the dash. Let me know I think that will be it. Some cars throw that code like crhemi said. I have had 3 cars with high flow cats and they all threw these codes. I must be cursed Anyway it really means nothing and the predator can turn off the rear o2 sensors from what I hear. The noise you heard could be a peice breaking off but 99% of the time it is related to back pressure changes. I have had it happen in all 3 cars and the first time I paniced...

OK I have my Predator, and I Am affraid to use it... Code from dealer is 0420 and 0430 as above... Here is my latest concern. Not driving hard on the way home from the dealer, and this is a new issue... THERE IS SMOKE FROM THE CATS. and a smell. It looked to me that the heat shield was smoking!!! Here are some pics, what the F? This was not this way before and I was driving 2 miles. Less than 50 the whole time.
