Dynatech longtube headers/ high flo cats

Hey guys hows it going. I just recently installed the Dynatech LT headers with cats and i seem to be having a vibration in the 700-800rpm range as well as the 2100rpm range in low gears (1,2,and sometimes 3). Also when i go in reverse sometimes It sounds like something like a pipe is dragging on the ground, but nothing is dragging. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Noah

Check to see if you have one of your pipes resting against your frame or body. If it's even real close when you torque the motor it will/could push it against the car and make that vibration.

Don't mention it. Let me know how you do. I just had high flow cats installed myself and have noticed a touch of what you mention. But I think I too have a small rubbing problem as well.

Moose.

After I install mine a couple of years back, they were slightly longer than the stock set up. So, after a installed them, I went for a test drive before I checked everything (it was a long day). During the test drive I had boocoo vibrations. Turns out, the mufflers (Borla) got pushed back about 1/2" and they were rubbing against the rubber u-joint flange. A simple fix, but I had melted rubber goo all over the mufflers which I think is still there today

Funny you should say that because thats the same thing mine did with the exhaust (maganflow). They are about 2 inches pushed back. I am going to work on the car tomorrow and fix it. Ill let you know if thats the problem (praying). In your sig, when you say silencer removed, do you mean that thing by our intake. Its like a black plastic lining.
