Anyone heard of this? Arringtone Engines $21K for 585HP

I was talking to the owner of a shop the other day in Scottsdale, Verdone. He is a cool guy and knows about Vettes mostly, but has a Maggy SRT8 in the showroom he does not drive. He was telling me about this company, and in short from what I understand they are the company used to build the Mopar Cascar motors... This one says 585HP for $21 plus thousand...

Look sick there is a video as well...

Sorry if this is a repost.

I'm no expert, but that sounds like a lot of $$$ for less than 600 hp. A crate Hemi is only about $12,000. I'm sure you could get 600 hp out of that for about $15,000 total.

Looks very nice, but it appears to me that their drag videos were purposefully not showing their times.

thats the ridiculous thing about these hemis. you can do a head and cam package on your SRT. and get the same times in the 1/4 as spending 20g on that 426 from HHP. doesnt really seem worth the money to replace the engines in this car.

this is exactly what i was refering too. a cam and heads on the 6.1 will net you over 500hp, or there abouts. which would cost you somewhere in the neighborhood of 2-3g.

seems like the only purpose to spending all that money on the 426 (or any aftermarket engine for that matter) would be for bragging rights. especially once a viable forced induction system comes out. for 8,000$ you will be able to get a blower, heads, cam for your 6.1. and be running somewhere around 600hp. thats still half the price of the 426.
