Post Your Custom Predator Tunes for 5.7 & 6.1 HEMIS

We have set up a "sticky" for members to share their custom Predator tunes for their HEMI engines - 5.7 & 6.1.

If you post here, please list your:
  • Engine Type
  • Performance Mods
  • Custom Tune Specs
Let's keep discussion to a minimum in this thread. Only Questions to a poster and Answers, please, so the thread can be easily resourced for reference. If you change a tune, you can go back and edit your original post by adding the changes.

Northern, were you thinking that people would post their CROM files on here after tweaking them?

Just a few points:

There is a difference between a canned Diablo Predator Tune that has been "customized / modified" by the Predator and a CMR based custom tune.

For comprehesion and discussion sake, let's call the user / owner modified canned Predator tunes "Modified Canned Tunes", (the settings used by the owner can be described in this thread and any Predator owner can replicate) and the CMR custom tunes, "CMR Customized Tunes", which are provided by an authorized Diablo CMR tuning shop. This way we can begin to differentiate what a Predator Owner can do on their own with what the received out of the box with their purchase and what an authorized CMR tuner can provide for a fee.

A CROM file is an update to the software running the Predator Unit itself.

A Tune is a vehicle configuration file.

A CMR Customized Tune is unique to each vehicles stock tune and is somehwat tied to the Predator that the CMR Customized Tune is loaded from.

Currently it is difficult to create a tune that would be easily loaded from one predator to many Predators.

But the good news is that for Modified Canned Tunes, users can share what settings they used (in this thread) to achieve the best results.

I believe that was the original intent of this thread is to share settings that will help achieve optimal performance results from modifing the canned tunes in the Predator.

AND if you are running ported HEADs or a non-stock CAMSHAFT, Headers, or any other modification aside from a CAI, then you WILL HAVE TO GET A CMR TUNE, OTHERWISE YOU WILL RUN THE EXTREME RISK OF BLOWING UP YOUR ENGINE. Sorry for the large caps, but please do be careful and responsible with your very expensive engine. If you receive a loaded gun, don't fire it without learning how to do so safely first.

Cautions aside, for any CMR Customized Tunes, please contact Power Ported Performance for a quote. We do not need a dyno or to physically have or be at the vehicle to assist with a customized tune, but it does take several steps to get it dialed in. Full performannce optimization of a tunes settings can only be acheived with an A/F ratio gauge / meter, which we also have listed and available for purchase on our website. We're here to help, so give us a call if you need something beyond what is available out of the box.

Sincerely,

Jeremy

Andys definetly on the cutting edge doing custom tunes. If you guys have access to your A/F ratios and can log Knock Sensor activity then Andy can get you pretty dialed in.
