Yet another exhaust thread...

Sorry to start another exhaust thread but...
I am looking to put a cat-back on the C soon and wanted some opinions. I am leaning towards the Borla system but I was wondering if anyone has used the other Borla system yet? It's part # 140125
http://www.borla.com/applications/lo...System/140125/

It is basically the same system just minus the resonator's at the end. I should be louder and flow a little better than the other Borla system (due to less restriction). Just wondering if anyone has actually tried this one yet.

Also wondering if anyone has tried the FLowmaster system yet?

It's the cheapest system but I am affraid that it may be to much for the classy 300C, probably better suited for the Magnum/Charger. Any input apprecitated.

Joey,

Lot's of exhaust threads on there, use the search and read til your eyes bleed!

I have the 140112 Borla - 4 muff's and 3.5 tips. The tips look the best on the C IMO. Although this maybe be a little "too quiet" for me (I like a louder exhaust note in my cars, I have a Borla setup on the stang and it ROCKS, but it's a completely different ride, and would be too loud for Daily driver), I do feel my car is not overly loud, but you know it's got a hemi at WOT. The 140112 keeps the car classy but at WOT announces the hemi.

With the 140125 - they are 5 inch oval tips...coffee cans. They look ok on the Magnum but not good on a C (again, just my opinion).

If you want to an introduction wherever you go - get the 140125, if you want a little rumble, and great sound at WOT, go 140112. If you want the 3.5 tips and sound of the 2 muffs? call Borla or order 140112 and have your exhaust shop cut out the rears.

To be honest, I was told that the complete system with the cats and muffler offer better performance. This system is really not too much louder than stock at cruising speed but does open up at WOT. The 5" tips look good on other cars but once you see the 3.5 tips, you'll most likely agree that it keeps the car from looking and sounding like a Honda. Either way to each their own. Make a decision and stick with it regardless of what others say.

I agree with both of you on the 5" tips, that is what was worring me on the 140125. I will give Borla a call and see if they can give me the 3.5" tips with the 140125, or just order the smaller tips also and have the muffler shop swap them out.
