Noob Question on 300c Performance

Good Morning All:
As a very dedicated Chevy owner this is my 1st REAL Chrysler. Besides having a 99 Durango. I just bought a 2008 300c on Saturday. I honestly had no intention of getting the car and was actually on my way to get the 08 CTS but decided to stop in the dealer for laughs. THANK GOD I DID. One drive in the 300 SRT8 and i was hooked. Although, i couldn't afford the $49,000 SRT8, I went with the Cool Vanilla 300c, fully loaded without Nav.

What simple little permance mod will give me more power kinda closer to the SRT8. I know there is no comparison, but there must be something to get more power, torque and speed.

Thanks allot.

not too much to chose from unless you want to spend some heavy $$$

the funnest mod you can do is pull fuse 11, wait about a minute and put it back in. it resets the ECU and makes you feel like you are in an SRT8!
the diablo predator is a very good device with great gains. last but not least, put some stickers on your car. that sometimes helps

Great purchase story, Robertz1! Think of the money you just saved to use for enhancing performance! The Diablo Predator Tuner was a great suggestion and probably a good place to start.

congrats on the purchase. Theres also an adjustment you can make by pushing slowly down on the gas pedal - makes the car respond faster, dont remember the whole process, but im sure someone remembers what the name of the thread was that had all the low budget mods. youll find a better descripstion of it in there.

A good rule of thumb...

Best bang for the buck in order for adding HP(just parts, no shop time):

-Cam <$500 = 50hp = $10 per horse
-Predator <$500 = 20hp = 15$ per horse
-AirHammer CAI <$500 = 15hp = $30 per horse
-Forced Induction <$6000 =140hp = $40 per horse
-LT Headers w/HF cats <$1500 = 25hp = $60 per horse
-Heads <$2000 = 25 hp = $80 per horse
-CatBack exhaust <$1500 = 10 hp = $150 per horse

These are only guesstimates and the list will shuffle if you add shop time for the install.

Getting the 5.7 HP up to the 6.1 level is just 1/2 the battle. The tires, wheels, dampeners, springs, and brakes will need to be upgraded to get the handling to match as well.

I believe the turbo for $6000 comes with the cat back exhaust and a predator in the kit and a CAI.

AHHHH, the ole simple turbo upgrade. I had something a little more simple, like a chip and thermostat. I did a little research and figure I can spend anywhere from $250-$600, including labor to get around 40-50 more hp. That i think will be good enough. I just got back from a highway run and man..........these babies fly. So glad I gt this instead of the CTS....
