Volant and Jet mods = better MPG?

I've been seeing a pretty consistent 17.5-17.8 MPG with a mix of country road/highway driving. This was since I bought the car last year. All highway used to give me a solid 22.4-22.8 MPG. Over the last few weeks I installed the Volant induction and Jet Stage I module. The follow tank's mileage went uo to 18.4. I didn't think to much of that until I took a highway trip last night. It's 144 miles round trip. Filled up when I got back and found that I got 23.6 MPG. I use this route for my highway mileage testing and drive the say way all the time. Looks like these are good for power and economy

Thinking about those exact upgrades myself. Have you changed the stock exhaust by chance and if not, how happy are you with the combined performance/price of the 2 mods mentioned above? (ie - is it really noticeable from when it was purely stock, sound different, etc)

I'm keeping the exhaust stock on this one. I drive alot of loud performance cars so I'd like to keep this one a quiet cruiser. The Volant did give is a slightly more aggressive sound when I lay into it though. That isn't heard during normal driving. These two mods really woke up the car. It pulls much better from about 3000 RPMs and up at part throttle. Hammering it from a dead stop whole chirp/spins the 20s a little before. Now that results in them screaming in agony as they leave black patches down the street. Unhappy tires = a happy driver

Thanks, you just cost me $500.... a glorious, glorious $500. Now, how to hide that from the wife... I know I'll get the "your car already has 10,000,000 horsepower, you need MORE?". Well, yes, yes I do.

I don't care about all the people who said that this intake doesn't make the car faster. From my butt dyno, this car is faster with my Borla and Volant.
