Predator / 180 T-Stat / Temp Gauge / Fan Speeds / Gas Mileage / Questions???

Sorry for the long title guys! But, my question for all you gearheads and mopar/300 experts involve all the above!

I've got the 5.7 with a predator and a 180 degree t-stat. 91 tune w/CIA

1st question: My temp gauge is running just a click under the halfway mark, is this where my temp is suppose to run? Before the 180 t-stat, it ran straight up 12. If not, is it probable that I have a malfunctioning t-stat?

2nd question: My fan runs constantly it seems, I went back in with my programer and looked to see if I could set the fans speeds and couldnt find any way to alter the settings. I'm sure I'm missing something somewhere.

3rd question: I have gotten horrible mpg since hooking up my predator, around 10mpg. Is it possible that the fans running all the time is part of the cause of the bad mpg? Or are there other possible reasons, other than a bigger lead foot due to the predator (already tried babying my "C" for a whole tank of gas and she still got bad mpg)

Concern: If I change the fan speeds but the t-stat is not working correctly, will I cause harm to my girl?

Thanks guys!

i had the same problem, i think it has something to do with the MDS. Try doing some freeway driving for a while then driving it with city driving like you normally would and see if it gets better.
