Airaid has designed a new air filter that makes 12 HP. on the Hemi. I tested it on my new 300C & it works. If you want one contact me @ 305-251-8228. Priced around $156.00. It carries a 30 day money back warranty. It only takes 5 minutes to install with a simple screwdriver. My phone is 305-251-7018.

As soon as I get some positive reviews about the AIRAID product, I'll buy it and put it in. However as of yet, I see very little reporting about "noticed more power....." If would imaging tht 12HP is a pretty decent bump in HP and it should be felt.

The issue about loudness concerns me also. I mean, loud in what way. It is like some obnoxious droning type of sound. I don't mind some rumbling exhaust sounds but the thought of a "Hoover Vaccum Cleaner" type sound entering the cabin doesn't appeal to me.

Will someone please provided additional reviews on the results of thier AIRAID intake. Would you recommend it? Etc..

I contacted Airaid for some proof of the dyno tests. You can contact Chris Thompson (CEO) at: info@airaid.com

Airaid intake system

This is the imput I got from Airaid. Please read it before jumping into conclusions. Check the Dyno chart attatched.

Sound is all in perspective. We bought a Magnum to develop the system on. I am one of the first to complain about noise, not with this unit. It will be heard at full throttle, but the sound is good. Just the fact that the noise has increased is proof that the sealed factory boxes are to restrictive. If any of these guys put any type of muffler on their vehicle they will find that the exhaust sound is great than any under the hood noise.

As for the filtration characteristics we kick K&N's butt... We filter to 3 microns while they filter to 7. Most of the warranty denials that I have read about are K&M brand filters collapsing and allowing dirt into the engine.

I have attached the dyno printout from the Magnum. You will see the power is there. It isn't like that of a Dodge Ram where the power kicks in earlier (Chrysler Programming). The power from this system is real and will only get better with a power programmer and other modification. The best thing that can happen would be that somebody develops a kit to convert these vehicles from speed density to mass air flow.

You are right in posting 30 day money back. That is part of our No-Hassle warranty.

I drove my C today after installing Airraid last night. It does sound more aggressive, which I like. Also appears to be a little more responsive. So far I am pleased with my purchase.

I find this dyno run a bit puzzling.

1. What IS that line that peaks at 250@5000RPM mean? Can possibly be torque or even HP?
2. If we are looking at a peak HP of 280 at the rear wheel, we're lookiong at quite a bit of power loss in the drive train aren't we? A loss of 60HP represents close to 20% loss due to drive train. I thought 15% was the norm.

3. Where the "390" ft of torque represented here?
