Congrats!!! As turbo said, you will have a big smile for a long time. Besides, it is good once in a while to empty out the ole pocket book. I can't wait to hear how you like your NEW C!!

You will be sorely missed Mr. iNCREDIBLE! Thanks for everything you have given to this group. I'll see you on LXF.
Glad to see the decision made and the parts on order.
You're going to love the change!

Thanks all.At least it wasn't quiet 6 weeks. The next several days are gonna be tough. Best(or worst) part is I've been traveling again,so I don't have access to the car during the week.
The fun part is also receiving parts here and there. It's like getting Christmas gifts every other day. For me it was first the install kit, then the underdrive pulley, then the lifters, then the heads, then the headers, then the mid pipes, then the cam etc. I just looked at the stuff and opened boxes realizing I didn't really know too much about how the parts worked LOL. It was still cool to do. After installing everything for the first time in my life I really learned how an engine was put together. That was very precious to me as I've never had an opportunity like that before. It was a long day in 100 degree weather but worth it big time. Now just remember the car will be strange to drive when you first start her up. It will require tuning big time. Once tuned it will run so much better.

Had a Satin Jade 300c now totaled. Now have a Black on Black fully loaded 300c AWD. What can I say, I love the car.
Volant CAI, JBA headers, JBA cat-less mids, Borla exhaust, Inertia Street heads, Spartan cam 114 LSA, underdrive pulley, 180 thermo, programmer, hotel seo, still looking for a stronger AWD trans though.
Keith and turbo. You guys are doing a fantastic job of helping me stimulate the economy. However,I don't think I'll be able to completely resolve it. Your efforts are to be commended.
Best part of this install is I'm away on business,so I'll return to that "new" C
Now if you were able to only squeeze out one more mod I would highly suggest you get a torque convertor. That will make a big difference.
On a side note, why are you only getting a stage 1 cam? Stage 2 cams work with stock heads and offer more power. Either way it would be a good idea to get the 6.1 springs. I know you aren't going to stop modding after the cam so might as well get ready for the bigger stuff now.

And the not-so-fun explaining to the wife about what's arriving in the mail.
"Just some car parts, sweetie." [....] "Yes I need them!" [....] "Of course it'll make the car faster but it will improve gas mileage, too." [....] "I don't say that about everything I get!" [....] "Sorry, honey." [.................................................. ..................]
At least that's how it goes here if I don't intercept the UPS man
And turbo, did you do most of the work yourself?

Well Turbo, guess you already know the answers to your questions. No doubt next summer I'll be lighter again. Only much more so.
Here is the trick fellas, have the stuff sent to your office. That's what I did and the wifey had no clue how much stuff I actually ordered. When she was out I'd hide the parts in the garage. Now with regards to the install, yes I did most if not all of the install with my installer buddy. I paid him $300 for his time and guidence. This was my first time every doing anything like this. It was a lot easier than expected. Simply tear down, swap and bolt/plug up. Being it was my first time it took a total of 8 hours. That also included breakfast at a restruaunt and lunch at a fast food joint.
Yamabob, lighter? ah carbon fiber, remove bumpers, racing seats, strip interior, lexan windows lighter? That will definately get wifey to kick your butt. LOL.
Your too much T-hips. Nice thing for me is we keep 100% separate money accounts. I have my bills-she has hers. We NEVER ask each other about what the other one spent and on what But I like your thinking. Devious. In a good way
