Mopar TCM

I bought a mopar tcm for my 2006 300c and I have a question about it. I searched but couldnt seem to find a specific answer:

While reading the install directions, it says that the mopar PCM is required to install the TCM.... is that true? I heard from someone at the dealer that it wasnt needed. My car is basically stock besides a mopar cai and custom catback.

is the pcm really needed.... or can I install the tcm on the car as it is now? is it (pcm) worth it? can something like a diablo predator be used instead?

No, it is not; however to extract all the MOPAR TCM has to offer it is very important to follow the installation instructions. The difference between a proper and improper installation is significant...

as Moebius said, I don't think you need the PCM. I used the TCM without it and it worked fine. I >do< recommend the Predator in general, but do not install a tune while the Mopar TCM is connected or you will wipe it clean. While installing a predator tune, plug the stock TCM back in, then replug the Mopar TCM in after it's installed. You can, however, raise shift points/rev limiter with the Predator without wiping the TCM (I believe...didn't seem to wipe mine, but take that advice at your own risk).

The Predator just makes a big difference on these cars all around.
