I drove down to RDP in Ohio yesterday to get Steve to dyno tune it now that Diablo has the 2010 support out... I also added a 180 stat and catch can... Very impressed with this guys operation, he went in on a Sunday morning at 8:30 because he knew I was driving from Toronto (~5hr drive)...
We spent a couple hours on the dyno along with some road testing time... the car is like a new car now, and it was not a slouch before!
It's actually easier to launch now and barks the tires hard going into 2nd... I hit the track today as my buddy rented it... because I was on street tires (F1's) I had to run in the unprepped lane, but I still managed 3 back to back 1.9 sixty foots and 4 12.9 passes... conditions where not as good as my previous outing when I went on a major event day with killer track prep and negative DA with a tailwind... but I still managed to improve my 1/8th mile trap by +1MPH (86mph on all 4 12 second passes)... It only went 108MPH today... but my 1/8th mile speed was 1MPH faster than when I previously went 112MPH under perfect conditions...
One pass I tried leaving hard flashing the converter to 3000rpm and it spun threw 3 gears... the EVIC said the quarter mile was done before I hit the 1/8th mile marker! Before the tune it would bog shifting into 2nd once the tires broke loose, now it no longer bogs... it just shifts like a mofo under full power!
Amazing thing is the my fuel economy actually went from 20MPG when driving to the get it tuned to 21MPG when driving back...
It was Vet event today and I was faster than a good bunch of the stockish C5 and C6's
The car is still pretty close to stock... the only things I have done are,
-Magnaflow mid pipe
-AirAid CAI
-Builder Bill 3500 converter (I will need Nittos to really appreciate this!)
-180 Stat
-Catch can
-Predator CMR tune
