Maintenance help

Hello all, I have a 2006 Chrysler 300C at about 44600 miles and I want to start doing the maintenance myself. It is due for an oil change I know, but I was wondering if anyone could help me with exactly what I need to do and if there or any extra things I should do in addition to the oil change. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Have you changed the plugs? The "C's should be changed at around 30,000. Just get 16 Champion RE14MCC4's Takes about an hour. Getting close to coolant flush time. I believe the recommend tranny at 60,000 Of course the air filter

they are 100,000 mile plugs, but according to your owners manual, they are supposed to be changed out at 30,000.

That is in correct. The come with regular copper top's. I'd avoid or have serious concerns about a dealer that does not know the intervals. The SRT8 can go 100,000 between changes

GC-they are not Platinum. Martuaza, open your hood and look at the labels by where the hood latches-It will show you what plug. I don't think they changed from '06 to '07

Man, all this time I've been thinking I could wait! Another question, are the alternators in the 06 C's 160 amp or less?

I doubt it would be less than a 150. Of that I'm not sure. Should be a 160

never, ever, ever pay any attention to what a car salesman tells you regarding anything technical about any particular vehicle. They simply don't know, but rather than admit that and say "I'll find out" they just make things up as they go along, taking cues from you to find out what you want to hear.

I remember when my dad was buying his SRT8 and the business manager that was going over the paperwork with him told him all about the MDS feature that shut down 4 cylinders at highway speeds for better fuel economy. Only problem is the 6.1 doesn't have MDS! And she even argued with him when he told her that!

Here is a link to the oil change.

With a pair of pliers, twist open the valve.

If you enable PM's, I will PM you a link where you can download the Service Manual.
