How about 20" Wheels?

I'm keeping a close eye on any info that comes out for aftermarket upgrades and tweeks to the new 300C. Particularly, wheel upgrades...225/60R18's do a good job filling out the wheel wells, but that is a bunch of sidewall staring back out at you. My thinking is tha factory wheels will be great for winter, (skinny and tall), but this car screams for some 20 x 8" wheels with at least 245mm wide in front and 265mm in back. Just have to find some nice forged (i.e., light weight) wheels that will fit. Not sure of the Lug Nut pattern, 5x114.3 or 5x115, with 24mm offset, and center bore of 72mm is some of the "unverified" info I have found. Need more info and need to find out how much the factory wheels weigh, with and without tire. If anyone knows, please post. Thanks

I too am dying for some wheels on the 300C. Also, tired of the mystery surrounding the bolt pattern! Personally, I believe D-C made a mistake if this wheel 5-115 et24. Those are hard specs to find which will make cause wheel builders to do a little or retooling and need all new cast. Wish they had stayed with 5x114.3 instead of using a GM and Cadillac 5X115.

20 wheel set up

Does any one have the 275/40/20 tires on there C. Me and my Tire guys are haveing trouble finding a good 20 to put on the car that isnt a Sport truck tire or is going to rub some place. We got 245/40/20 coming but were thinking that it will look wrong. I dont want tons of wheel well showing. I want a full well and a 20 but it seem that might not be able to happen.
The wheels I got for it are Foose 20x8.5 34mm offset. I now one guy here has 265/45/20 but thats it.

Which Foose wheel are you looking at? I like the Bavaria but it's not in a 20.

I have Toyo Proxess S/T 255/45/20. Which I guess is what you may of be referring to as a "truck" tire.

You will find that moving to the 20" will not be as forgiving as the 18"(s) on the vehicle already (not as floaty...as if you are riding on a cloud).

On the other hand I have noticed much more grip and more "road feel" (which I like). Overall the ride is quite nice and road noise seems to be minimal. I like the tread wear rating, temp rating, and speed rating. Overall these can be found pretty cheap and I have been happy.

Hope this helps

I'll add some pictures this weekend...after I wash and wax the car (again)

Do you have any pics of your 20's? How's the spacing on the fender wells?

Pirelli PZero Rosso, which is a summer ultra high performance tire, is the only car tire that I am aware of that is made in the 275/40R20 size.

I agree. Very nice rim, but not for this car.
