Question 20+ Horses?????

I was thinking of ordering the K&N air intake. I read that it can add up to 26 horses and that it ws dyno proven to average a little over 20. Is this true?? These stats are for the 5.7 Hemi, which really sounds great. Is it too good to be true????

There's a good thread on lxforums about the intakes. Not much power gain with any of them, I went with the Mopar because according to the comparison, it had the baddest sound, and it looks cool

What rebel said. You might get 2.6 HP though! As for looks, you can get an idea from the first pic here... http://www.************/showthread.php?t=574

After reading this thread, i am now undecided for the Volant.
I am really looking for an intake that tries to give me the muscle sound and i was gonna go with the volant, but now this thread says that the mopar has the best sound.
Now i dont know what to do.
Any ideas anyone.

Since gains are very minimal, if at all, I would just stay stock, save the $$ for something else, and enjoy the understated oomph these cars provide.

Yep you are right save the money. I was going go get one, but if no HP gain really, then there are other things that can be done to the car that will make it faster or even add a different look to it. Not worth the money to get nothing.

20HP is laughable.

I'll tell you what though, put headers on and you'll get more than that AT THE WHEELS!

Im not really trying to gain horsepower.
This car has enough horsepower for me since my last car was a 4cyl accord with like 180hp. Its a big jump from a Accord to a 300C Hemi.
Im was really looking for the deep muscle sound with the intake, and if i didnt like i i was gonna sell it.
Now im debating between the Volant and Mopar, but if they all do the same, than maybe i will just get the cheapest one of the Airraid.
Also, i dont want the same sound that i had on my accord after i added a intake.
