Thumbs up FOLLOW UP on the 20+ hp!!

I decided to go ahead and buy the K&N intake even with so many people frowning up the intakes in general. Let me tell you, HOT DAMN!! As soon as I took it out, I felt the difference. I don't see how so many of you don't think it makes a difference. I love the rumble, the improved response and the thought of how I am going to smoke so many more people now. Two thumbs up and one big toe for the K&N intake I purchased. Believe me, you won't be disappointed if you buy one.

oh yeah?

I read those cold air intakes were a waste of money, and did nothing but make intake noise, however i admit i like the muscle intake noise.

I'm not a gearhead but thought a motor was basicaly a big air pump?? So it stands to reason that if you can get the air into the motor faster and a larger volume (this is where the CAI comes in to play) and then expell it out faster (a good CAT back exhaust) then you should make some more HP. Maybe I am wrong....would not be the first time.....just ask my ex-wife,parol officer,IRS,and girl friends.

It also stands to reason that a air filter that lets in more air also lets in more dirt.

"REASON"?
Then you better stuff a concrete block into your air box to keep the dirt out!

C'mon now...

More air does NOT equal more dirt. A high quality filter that is oiled correctly will breathe more than paper and filter better - the proof is out there...just like synthetic oil protects better than dino oil. It's all in what you believe I guess.

Jimmy, I have yet to READ anyone with an aftermarket CAI chime in and say they wasted their money. Improved mileage, better throttle response, and an engine that actually SOUNDS like you have a V8 are the only comments I read...For $250, that's not bad!
Even if the so called dyno sheets show minimal gains, I don't hear any complaints on CAI's. We can debate all day long if a CAI has any gains over stock...WHO CARES!!! BEST case is 20hp (I doubt it's more than 10hp myself), and 20hp is good for how much in the 1/4? 1 or 2/10ths? Whether you have 340 or 350 won't matter much driving on the street! I feel there is far too much placed on HP numbers for a CAI and exhaust systems. I purchased exhaust and intake because I couldn't hear my ride, and now I can!
...Hey..just my opinion.
