Standard K&N filter

After reading the the post of the K&N Filter in take systems I am almost afraid to ask. But has anybody used the K&N OEM repalcement filter as of yet? If so how is it doing?

I have it and works great. I have it cleaned at every oil change as it does get dirty...but the K&N recharge kit takes care of that

I have it as well and no complaints yet. Works great so long as you clean it on a regular basis with the recharger kit as it's been stated before.

makes your pedal a little more responsive, not so much as a CAI, but a little bit nonetheless

I've used them for years in just about everything and have been very pleased. I've actually had trucks pick up 2mpg just by the change. I have it in the C now but can't verify any gains 'cause I can't keep my foot out of the throttle, but I'm looking real hard at the typhoon.

K & n Filter, as long as youn recharge it regurally is the NUTS.1>2 MPG gain, not to mention the noticable throttle response.

When you pull out the Air Silencer, youi'll have a quantified CAI system and the gains are as good as any after market system according to Dynos as well as performance indicators.

Just an FYI for those of you who love K&N. Coming from a board that reviews oil analysis of random vehicles(up to those who participate like this board), anytime you see high silicon content in the oil sample you are almost 100% guranteed that a K&N filter is being used. Other sites that have tested flow and filtration have found the K&N flows well, but also allows a very large amount of dirt through(much more than factory paper filters). To each his own.
