GSM Supercharger - All bark no bite?

Talk is cheap. I am sick of reading about the superchargers and how insanely fast jketron's SRT-8 with the kit is. All because it made 2 dyno runs and threw down some good numbers. How does it perform on the street, better yet on the track?

GSM do us all a favor and take that Magnum SRT-8 Demo to the track for us this weekend. Better yet, let me drive down and do it for ya if you guys can't find the time....

As far as I can tell, there's 3 kits installed out there, Armadillo's Magnum, that charger, and jketron's SRT-8.

The only updates I have seen have contained a bit of curious brown nosing. Where are the track slips, the kill stories, the insane burnout videos? Why aren't these vehicles showing up at the local Meets and being demo'd?

GSM I'm begging to be sold as a customer as are many others, but things seem suspiciously quiet lately.

If anyone mentioned in those post doesn't feel like going public, just shoot me a PM, I'm genuinely curious.

It's pretty much common sense actually.

NO TRACTION.

If you can live with that and great "from-a-roll" highway performance you should be happy. Other than that you'll need some 10" ET's at the track to get good times and then you'll hear BOOM!

I refuse to accept the fact that the car can't be launched properly as an excuse for no 1/4 mile times. I've driven a sub 11 second Chevelle that ran a 12.2 due to traction issues, but atleast we still had an idea of how the thing pulled with the wheels spinning halfway down the track.

There was talk of a magazine article, perhaps that will contain some of the info I seek?

I have been doing product brochures for sema and developing a new website with more info for the past week and it takes up alot of my time, and since Im the one that checks the forums most often I havent posted any new stuff. Anyways, I promise fellas, were not trying to keep you in the dark in any way, we have a new website with ALOT of information for you guys that will be done this week.

Here are some short videos we have.

http://www.gsmotorsports.com/media/videos/takeoff.AVI
http://www.gsmotorsports.com/media/videos/magnaflow.AVI
http://www.gsmotorsports.com/media/videos/AJ.AVI

I am one of the above mentioned owners, and I have not had my car to the track yet, I live in Arizona and temps here are still way over 100 day time and barely get down into the 90's at night, no sense in me taking the thing to the track until it cools off, I'll report as soon as I'm able but it will be a few months before I can get some good air.

Rogue is right, and I've said it all along too with ANY mod - show me timeslips
!
I'd like to see some timeslips for the 300C with the GSM kit - will it compete on the track with a stock SRT8?

It is your car so you can do what ever you want. I am not going to try and force anyone to do something they do not want to do
But

It makes all the sense in the world to take it to the track.
I personally want to know how my car performs in the summer as well as the winter.
I went to the track two weeks ago and it was packed. So it’s not just me.

I think you had mentioned this before and said it was a hassle to go to the track. That I can understand, but not going because it's hot. I don't get that. You will also need to practice launching.
I am just curious do you try to avoid boost in the summer?

I plan to take my Charger to the track as soon as I get it. Then we will see if there is any gain over time (the infamous Wake-up mileage). See what header and cold air do. This is the fun in mods as far as I'm concerned.

rouge, thank you for stepping up and calling them out.

A supercharger is a very pricey and risky mod without having all the details and numbers checked and rechecked.

PS - You could have found more open space for those videos. Were you measuring the 100 meter numbers?

I agree that it would be very nice to have this info before the purchase of a supercharger, it just isn't my responsibility to provide the data, that would be GS Motorsports, I was posting as a matter of info because I was mentioned as having a S/C installed. I am not "avoiding boost in the summer" it is just plain too friggin hot to go to the track. It isn't a hassle to get there, I live less than 15 minutes from Firebird raceway. There are a lot of activities that I tend not to do during the Arizona summer, that's one of them. I will be happy to post the results as soon as I go, that's the best I can do. As I said, get GS to do it, they are the ones trying to sell the units.

armadillo...

do you have a 300C? or a SRT-8?
Thanks!

hey binary boy (Jketron) you hear that...
the natives are restless...
let's find a track and take the afternoon off from work...
get some slips and keep everyone in check...
as I want to run my vehicle without all my mods completed as well...

and rogue when he does run the track and put up the numbers - I want to see the sales receipt from GS Motorsports that you bought one as well...
talk's cheap right?
I'm all about stirring it up as well...
in fact tell us where we can go run at the track here in Southern California as you are the Tech Moderator...
and I'll see if I can pin Johnny down to committing to showing...
As I have already stated that I am not buying one...
I'll just keep brown nosing Johnny as much as I can until he hands me the keys to the supercharged SRT-8...
also - Rogue - No offense intended - I am just as anxious as you to see "real " numbers too....

speaking of mods...
never mind - wrong box - just a couple of gift gallery items...
